What it requires
Chapter 3 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 requires: risks due to mobility (rest of Chapter 3): driving position, travel controls, rollover, falling objects, towing, batteries and marking. It is unchanged in substance compared with Directive 2006/42/EC and applies to machinery placed on the market from 20 January 2027.

SUPPLEMENTARY ESSENTIAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS TO OFFSET RISKS DUE TO THE MOBILITY OF MACHINERY OR RELATED PRODUCTS. Machinery or related products presenting risks due to their mobility shall meet all the essential health and safety requirements set out in this chapter (see General Principles, point 4).
