What it requires
2.4 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 requires: machinery for applying plant protection products: dosing, distribution and protection of the environment. It is unchanged in substance compared with Directive 2006/42/EC and applies to machinery placed on the market from 20 January 2027.

2.4.1. For the purposes of section 2.4., the following definition applies: ‘Machinery or related products for plant protection products application’ means machinery or related products specifically intended for the application of plant protection products within the meaning of Article 2(1), of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council (1).
