What it requires
1.7.1.1 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 requires: operating information free of ambiguity and overload; displays and interfaces easy to understand. It is unchanged in substance compared with Directive 2006/42/EC and applies to machinery placed on the market from 20 January 2027.

The information needed to control machinery or a related product shall be provided in a form that is unambiguous and easily understood. It shall not be excessive to the extent of overloading the operator. Visual display units or any other interactive means of communication between the operator and the machinery or related product shall be easily understood and easy to use.
