What it requires
1.7.1 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 requires: information and warnings preferably given by pictograms and in a language easily understood by the end-user, as determined by the Member State. It is unchanged in substance compared with Directive 2006/42/EC and applies to machinery placed on the market from 20 January 2027.

Information and warnings on the machinery or related product shall preferably be provided in the form of readily understandable symbols or pictograms. Any written or verbal information and warnings must be expressed in a language which can be easily understood by users, as determined by the Member State concerned.
