What it requires
1.1.3 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 requires: materials and products used or created must not create risks; particular attention to filling, use, recovery and draining of fluids. It is unchanged in substance compared with Directive 2006/42/EC and applies to machinery placed on the market from 20 January 2027.

The materials used to construct machinery or related products, or products used or created during its use, shall not endanger the health and safety of persons. In particular, where fluids are used, machinery or related products shall be designed and constructed to prevent risks due to filling, use, recovery or draining.
